Artist's Statement
My purpose as an artist is to create life among stagnancy - to watch it grow and flourish. I have come to the realization
that those who merely live a content life are not living at all. Contentment alludes to comfort which in many cases rids life
of passion. When an individual is in a state of disequilibrium, there is a yearning desire for great things.
Therefore, I consider it vital to maintain the existence of this passion and thrive within all aspects of creativity. Much
of my work is based upon the foundations of my writing. Though text may not always be visible in my work, it is consistently
there. Language is a key element as it encompasses beliefs and values I hold fast to.
